We have officially crossed into Scorpio Season. This is no longer about keeping the peace. It is illuminating what we deeply care about, asking us to stop pretending for illusion’s sake. Fortunately, for us we have already been doing a deep dive into understanding the importance of the internal work and peeling away the layers with our previous look into Medusa, Pallus Athena, Persephone, and Pluto- co-planetary ruler of Scorpio. Now with the Sun shining its light in Scorpio we can see the importance of internal work, depth and transformation
Why understanding Scorpio is important and how working with it can create profound meaningful changes in our lives. Scorpio is intense, it is private, it is willing to look at things that are messy and uncomfortable. When we understand how to go deep and then come back out the other side, we experience growth and healing, think Persephone. Scorpio understands the internal work is about taking action, peeling layers, and not just staying stuck in a repetitive loop, telling the same “woe is me” story over and over.
Ask yourself, is there a story you are stuck in? Can you look at it in a different way? Is there a way to switch the script? What messy, uncomfortable parts of yourself need to be looked at and released.
While Libra season asked for fairness and balance to understand harmony, and collaboration. Scorpio is asking for deeper understanding bringing an intensity with it. The willingness to be brave, vulnerable, and deeply authentic is not easy. Asking us to stop pretending that everything is fine, and to look at the honest truth.
What is currently happening in Scorpio. Along with Sun being in this sign. Venus and Mercury are currently here as well.
With Venus currently moving retrograde i.e. backwards from our perspective and Mercury getting ready to go retrograde. There is a lot of internal, inner work that this being asked of us. But let’s look at what is happening in the sky and break down what it means. How do we work with it?
With Venus the planet of love, value, money current internal focus sitting right on the Sun at a critical 0 degrees revealing a desire that is needing to be released or no longer aligns with our truth. It will be 96 years before we have Venus and the Sun aligning again at 0 degrees of Scorpio. Creating a blinding spotlight. You can’t see past the glare. In real life, that means you might feel a heavy, deep discontent or know in your gut that something isn’t right, but you can’t quite put your finger on what you actually want or need. You’re so deep in the middle of the fire that it’s hard to see what’s going on.
You might just feel this nagging sense that you’ve been paying a heavy emotional tax—giving away your time, energy, or peace just to keep a job, a relationship, or a situation from falling apart. You keep saying “it’s fine” when it’s not, or you keep bending over backward because you’re afraid that if you stop fixing everything, people won’t stick around.
As Venus moves backward and steps back into Libra, that blinding glare fades and the mirror clears up. That is when you see more clearly where “keeping the peace” was actually a lie. You’ll see where you’ve been sacrificing your own voice, boundaries, and peace just to keep everyone else happy. Where that balance was an illusion and where you sacrificed your own peace.
But this is Mars ruled, Scorpio that this is occurring in. This isn’t about journaling, or thinking nice thoughts. It is about excavating. Doing the dirty work and real-world dismantling.
Scorpio wants us to deal with the shadow, to look at the uncomfortable, to see the depth and truth, looking at what needs to change. Our emotional body and dreams are currently seeking something different. They want to lean into the safety of wishful thinking, abundance, and manifestation. Is there a way to get these ideas to work together?
To do the work, create the life without spiritual bypassing? We may find ourselves minimizing the truth. If we wait long enough, wish hard enough, our situations will change without needing to make adjustments. But Scorpio is reminding us that we cannot make adjustments if we are not willing to face reality.
Mercury, the planet of communications, thinking, and knowledge is currently in Scorpio getting ready to go retrograde on 10/24/26 where it will remain until around the 3rd week of November, when it will begin moving forward again. 1. Be careful with your words. That Scorpio tail can be harsh and cut deep. Be kind in not only your words to others, but also to yourself. This isn’t about cutting yourself or others down.
2. As truths are being revealed, don’t be afraid to reflect on your own contribution to the situation. Scorpio demands accountability. It is easy to point the finger outwards. Scorpio asks where am I participating in my powerlessness? What benefits am I getting?
